telling the story of your business

While your brand identity can’t tell the whole story of your business, it sets the stage for everything that comes after.

Think of your brand identity as your stamp of approval.

It’s going to go on everything you make. On every piece of collateral. Attached to every piece of content. Your signage.

Your brand identity and the components that make up that identity your logo, the colors, taglines, imagery have to demonstrate to everyone who sees it a level of quality, trust and competence.

Take a look at your current brand identity. Does it tell a great story?

Taking your brand identity to the next level

To develop a great brand, we start with a story.

The story of you, your business and wherever possible, the story of your customers.

While the result of a brand identity process is a set of visuals, this imagery represents that story.

Once defined, we’ll then move forward into developing the logo mark, colors, shapes and typography that will make up your new brand identity.

I WANT MORE INFORMATION

ten brand identity terms you need to know

Brand

The phrase "brand" refers to a commercial and marketing concept that allows consumers to recognize a specific company, product, or person. Brands are intangible, meaning they cannot be touched or seen. As a result, they play a role in shaping public impressions of businesses, their products, and persons.
1

Visual identification

Your brand's visual identity is its outward expression. When branding, it's critical first to determine what you want your company's perception to be to create a visual identity that reflects that perception. Many of the best businesses have a very consistent visual identity that is, everything the company produces has a similar look and feel.
2

Wordmark

A wordmark, also known as a logotype, is a type of logo that consists solely of text. The Coca-Cola logo and the Google logo are two examples of logotypes.
3

Branding

Branding refers to the tools and strategies you employ to influence how people perceive and think about your brand. It is the active process of shaping your brand's perceptions among customers.
4

Brand Attributes

Brand attributes are adjectives that describe your company's identity. This comprehensive yet concise list of attributes captures the essence of your brand. Brand attributes allow you to differentiate your brand from the competition.
5

Brand Guidelines

Brand guidelines aid in the preservation of the logo and brand's integrity. They specify the exact brand colors (including color codes), fonts, logo usage guidelines, photography styles, illustration styles, and other distinctive design elements.
6

Brand Audit

A brand audit is a checkup that evaluates your brand's market position, strengths and weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement. An existing brand's brand audit begins with research into the industry, competitors, and customers. This is followed by assessing the purpose, goal, look, and feel of all existing customer-facing collateral, such as the logo, packaging, website, photography, social media presence, advertising, and other elements.
7

Brand Positioning

The most fundamental aspect of your brand is its positioning. Everything you do will be supported by your distinct market position and the statement that encompasses it. Your positioning statement, also known as a tagline or a mission statement, should be presented succinctly.
8

Customer Personas

Customer personas are semi-fictional depictions of your ideal customers based on data and research. They help you better understand, target, and cater to the demands of your clients across all platforms, including marketing, sales, and service.
9

Logo

A logo is a symbol or stylized name used to identify a brand. But it goes beyond that. A strong logo is straightforward, versatile, memorable, and consistent with the brand.
