What inspired you to start your career in Videography?

I fell in love with making videos at a young age, so the passion was always there. One day, while I was 20 feet in the air (despite being scared of heights) training to become an electrical lineman, I saw a camera crew come in to take photos and videos of the school I was attending. As soon as I saw them taking photos, I decided to quit lineman school and go all in on doing what I love. I haven’t looked back since. Now, I get to help people tell their stories for a living and help them grow their audience.

What do you enjoy most about working at Spectruss?

Being part of a team that truly cares about serving their clients. The dedication and talent everyone brings to the table are incredibly inspiring. Obviously, my favorite thing to do with the team is making videos for them, but the collaboration is always exciting.

How do you stay ahead of industry trends and innovations?

Constant research, continuous improvement, and refining my skills. I keep up with new technology and learn how to use these tools to enhance my skills. I learn from those who are better than me and teach others who want to grow. It’s a never-ending process, and luckily for me, I love it.

What's your favorite project you've worked on so far?

My favorite project so far has been working with BACS x USS. It was a great process and well executed, resulting in one of my favorite videos to date. The team over at BACS x USS were amazing to be around, making it feel like I wasn’t working. That’s a good sign that I’m doing work I love.

What do you like most about Chattanooga?

I recently moved out to Nashville, just so I’m not too far from Chattanooga. Chattanooga is and will always be home to me. The neighboring cities and communities are amazing, and the nature that surrounds Chattanooga is to die for. Most importantly, it’s where most of my family lives.

When you're not working, what are your favorite hobbies?

I’m just getting into golf, so that’s my newest hobby. However, I’m a hobby enthusiast and love hiking, pickleball, soccer, video games, reading, podcasting, and working out. If I had to pick the top three currently, they would be 1. Golf, 2. Video Games, and 3. Working out. If I told you all of my hobbies, we’d need a few pages!

Tell us a fun fact about yourself?

I am a completely self-taught editor. I spent hundreds of hours in my youth editing gaming videos for YouTube. Once I got into videography as a professional, I was already surpassing those who have been in the industry for years.

In another life, what would be your profession?

This is a forever changing answer the more I experience in life, but for now, I can say I would love to be a pilot.

Movies/TV shows you would recommend.

Oppenheimer, Lone Survivor, Great Gatsby, Wolf of Wall Street, The Dirt – These movies are thought-provoking and entertaining stories, all but one based on true stories. TV Shows: Game Of Thrones, Ted Lasso, The Bear, Yellowstone.

What was the first concert you’ve ever seen?

Kings of Leon in 2018 in Nashville, Tennessee. I skipped school and had an amazing experience.

Favorite food?

Pizza and DosBros

Top bucket list item?
