Where Speed Meets Strategy
Sam discovered his passion for two wheels at age 13 when he began racing mountain bikes. Over 11 years, he competed globally in various disciplines, earning titles such as Tennessee State Pro Road Race Champion and SEC Division I Overall Mountain Bike Champion.
After the 2008 housing market crash, securing a pro cycling contract became difficult. He concluded his cycling career in 2009 with Team BMW Litespeed as a Cat 1 road cyclist and UCI Pro Mountain Biker.
Facing the need for a new career, Sam leveraged his computer programming skills to build websites and eventually founded Silvey Development in 2012. After a challenging start, his business began to grow steadily.
From 2012 to 2019, Sam explored racing various vehicles, including Formula cars and UTVs. In 2019, he bought his first motorcycle, a KTM 250 XCW, and quickly developed a passion for riding, despite early challenges.
His progress in dirt biking was fueled by joining a group of riders at Aetna Mountain, where he was introduced to Hard Enduro. This demanding sport, combining trials and enduro riding, captivated him and pushed his skills to new heights.
Over the past five years, Sam has competed in numerous Hard Enduros, hare scrambles, and enduros, achieving notable results, including 15th place in 2022 and 23rd in 2023 at the TKO National Championship. He remains dedicated to improving his motorcycle racing skills.
